To that end, this paper is a tribune of the people. It is the voice of millions struggling for survival. It strives to educate politically those millions on the basis of their own experience. It is a tribune to bring them together, to create a vision of a better world, and a strategy to achieve it.

Benton Harbor, USA -- Taking a Stand Against Corporate Power
There are so many moral outrages being perpetrated today against the American people by the wealthy and the corporations -- and the government they control -- that it's impossible to keep track of them all. But we at the People's Tribune want to call the attention of our readers to a particularly outrageous attack on the people of the southwest Michigan town of Benton Harbor, not the least because it represents what is happening, or will happen, to the majority of the American people if we don't stand up and fight.

Democracy Under Attack
During the 1930s, brutal fascist dictatorships arose, consolidated control and began their military aggression against the peoples of the earth. It was a process that could have been halted as it developed but pro fascist political leaders assured the people that "it's an Asian problem -- "it's a European problem" or "it can't happen here." After ten years of war, death and destruction the fascist forces were defeated. The people, those who suffered the most, declared that this must not happen again.
